Maybe I don’t wanna watch anymore
never been too into movies
never had the attention span
guess that’s why I always sucked in class
young, nervous, happy
think I was usually laughin
think something bad might have happened
wish I remember knowing who I am
something dark this way comes
it’s me, it’s me
something dark this way comes
It’s me, it’s me
maybe I don’t wanna talk anymore
never been too into conversation
stranger to self-confidence, so good at conning myself,
that’s why I suck at being romantic
so hold my youth for ransom
sell me my self esteem
my luck was pretty dumb I know
cuz I was handed almost everything
something dark this way comes
it’s me, it’s me
something dark this way comes
it’s me it’s me
x2
And I’m not sure I wanna remember
quite as much as I want to forget
I’m gonna take the book we wrote together
and I’m gonna set fire to it
I wanna end it by bringing a light

martin douglas pretty much covered it.
i just saw wild powwers open for witch, and the local kids held their own in the face of the satanists and hillbillies.
this album kicks ass. if i had to pigeonhole it, skin reminds me of old dinosaur, jr., or sebadoh.
they're more punk than grunge, i think, but they play their instruments insanely well. gomes is my pied piper, and he nails the essence of grunge pretty effortlessy. flores played barefoot at the croc. she hits hard, with grace and intens wsredblack

Short, lyric-centric rock; simple, grungy, bluesy, groovy, pop-y, and fun. I realize the songs have a punky attitude and are about drugs, and all that, but I almost want to call these songs “cute,” in their own way.
I just wish there wasn’t a *POP*ing sound at 1:40 of “Drive the Needle.” That’s always distracting. DoujinShinji
